Leadership & Operations Team

The people shaping the strategy, support, and innovation behind the scenes

Phoenix

Mr. Phoenix Bohannon

Head of Admissions & Family Success

Hi, I’m Phoenix Bohannon. I graduated from a prestigious Christian high school in Northern California, where I quickly learned that simply attending class doesn’t always lead to success on AP exams. While I passed all of mine, I didn’t get the scores I had aimed for, which taught me a valuable lesson about the gap between showing up and truly mastering the material.

After earning my degree in psychology, I joined this team to help students avoid that same frustration. Now, I work closely with families to make sure students get placed into the right programs for their goals, and I help our team stay aligned on how to best support them throughout the journey. Whether it's through creating clearer admissions pathways, building strong systems, or making sure our team is equipped to guide every family with care, I work behind the scenes to expand our reach and impact, so more students can thrive.

Meet the Founder of Acing AP Exams

Dr. Joseph P. Sebestyen III

"I'll never forget the conversation I had with players from a travel baseball team I was coaching back in 2014... It was April, the AP Exams were only a few weeks away and as I brought up the AP History exams I couldn't believe what I heard next. 'We haven't practiced a DBQ yet.' 'WHAT?! It's APRIL', I thought, how is that possible?"

My history students from county had been writing all year. How could students from very affluent schools with a great reputation go the entire year in their AP History class without learning how to answer a DBQ? And the DBQ is worth 25% of their Exam score... Turns out, nine years later, this wasn't an isolated case. Students from across the country experience the same in their courses.

I started this program from test prep tutoring to support the busy student-athlete and help them score a FIVE on their AP Exams.
